The Project Management Institute (PMI)® has changed the makeup of the Project Management
Professional (PMP)® exam radically. If you attended a PMP® exam preparation course and did not sit
the exam before the cut-off date, this bridging course is for you.
The good news is that the new exam is still based on the sixth edition of the Guide to the Project
Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). However, the PMI® wants to move the exam away from a strong focus on processes – remember all those input, outputs, tools and techniques? Instead, the new exam is much more interested in how value is delivered. To that end, only half of the new exam will test your
process knowledge. The rest will test your understanding of people – the role of the project manager, developing and managing the team and engaging with stakeholders – and the business environment. Also, there will be a strong emphasis on agile project management, with roughly half of the questions having some sort of agile slant.
Velopi is an Approved Training Partner (ATP) of the Project Management Institute (PMI)®. This means, they have access to all the PMI®’s training materials. Anyone attending this course will be given an account on the PMI®’s CHOICE learning management system. Instead of a copy of the slides, you will have access to a manual, including exercises, short videos on certain topics and selfassessment utilities. Of course, you will also have access to Velopi’s exam simulator to prepare for the exam, as well as their renowned
support up to the exam itself.

Who is the course for
If you attended a PMP® exam preparation course before the changes came into effect (i.e. before January 2nd, 2021) and did not, for work or personal reasons, sit the exam, this refresher course is for you. It is also suitable for those who did not pass the PMP® exam on the previous attempt. It is designed for Project Managers and others preparing to take the PMP® exam and seeking expert guidance on exam strategy, hot topics, sample exam questions and after-course support to ensure they obtain the PMP® certification.
