Thursday 30th August saw Next Level Skillnet welcoming a delegation of Professors from Hebei Finance University in Baoding, China.
The meeting held in Westpark Shannon was also attended by Anthony Brosnan, Business Development Manager, Griffith College Limerick, Luo Chi, International Office Griffith College, Brian O’Connell, Owner of Westpark Shannon, Margaret O’Looney, General Manager, Westpark Shannon, Joe Leddin, Midwest Regional Skills Manager, Gerard Murray, Network Manager, Next Level Skillnet and Sue Davies, Technical coordinator, Next Level Skillnet.
Hebei Finance University and Griffith College established a joint programme in the area of Accounting in Finance in October 2008 which was signed at the Irish Trade Mission to China in the presence of then Taoiseach, Brian Cowen T.D.
To date 513 students have successfully transferred to Griffith College Dublin and Cork campuses to complete the BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance Programme. Griffith College has also received more than 50 visiting scholars from Hebei Finance University for the last 10 years.
