Future Skills Needs Programme funds development of new Specialist Diploma

Next Level Skillnet are delighted to confirm that Future Skills Programme (FSP) Funding secured by the network for 2019 through Skillnet Ireland has been utilised to develop a new course with NUI Galway.

The new programme will focus on Resource Efficiency and Environmental Opportunities in Business and Industry and will be part-time and flexible for practitioners.

Modules include 6 of the following:

Environmental Management of Organisations

Energy Management

Waste Management and Compliance

Water Management and Conservation

Environmental Leadership in Organisations

Environmental Awareness and CSR

There will also be guest lectures and site visits.

The course will run from September 2019 to May 2020 and will be delivered by a combination of Saturday workshops every 4 weeks, online lectures and learning activities, eBooks and other digital resources and printed module guides. Each module will be individually assessed by assignments completed throughout the semester. The major assignment for each module will be the development of a plan for the participant’s workplace.
